Team to travel to Naggar, (1840m) the old ancient Capital of the Kullu Valley which commands an imposing position with great views of the Kullu Valley further trek through forests towards the village of Nashala. O/N Home Stay
Today we trek toward Kalmidhar a pleasant walk, through local villages like Nashala and Jana. Overnight in a Camp in Kalmidhar. O/N in a Camp
A gradual walk through Kais wildlife sanctuary leads to a beautiful meadow of Matikochhar. From Matikochhar one can have the beautiful view of Kullu Valley with the town. Overnight in a camp. O/N in a Camp
An easy walk through the forest leads to a temple of Lord Shiva at Bijli Mahadev. A beautiful meadow with the temple. From Bijli Mahadev one can have the beautiful view of the twin valleys of Beas and Parvati with snow covered mountain peaks.

From Bijli Mahadev descend down the footsteps to Chansari Village (2hrs.) and Drive to Manali. Chansari, a typical village of the region from where we will take a drive to Manali. Two and half hours’ drive to Manali. O/N Hotel
After breakfast, the team will be picked up from their accommodation and taken to their community project at Majach Village. Upon arrival, the team will receive an orientation to the project and community and a briefing on the project tasks. The Gap SHS Team 1 will be working at the Primary School in the village to renovate and improve the facilities for the students there. Whilst at the project, the team will stay across two local homestays and all meals will be cooked by kitchen staff from our in-country partners. Over Night Home Stay
During the project, the team will have the help of their guide and local workers to make the necessary renovations at the school. There will be multiple tasks for the team and they may rotate on jobs or break into smaller groups to achieve specific goals. The Gap Team 1 have been asked to help paint walls, ceilings, doors and repair furniture within the Primary School. Over Night Home Stay
During the project, the team will have plenty of opportunity to interact with families and local children and learn about how they live. The team will have the chance to teach English to the local students and get involved in games and cultural activities within the village. Over Night Home Stay
Today is the final day of the community project. The team will work hard towards their project goals. When the work is complete, the Majach community may perform a local dance for the team and the Gap students can share something in return during this cultural exchange. This will be the last chance for the team to enjoy some time with the children and local families of the village, before their journey onto Ambala tomorrow. Over Night Home Stay
What to bring for the trek
Good Warm internal clothing (woolen and fleece, thermals), water proof and wind proof clothing, Comfortable hiking boots with good resistance against the snow and water with a good grip, haversack, sandals, walking sticks, gaiters, woolen/tennis socks (quite a few pairs) and stocking, gloves, cap, sunglasses (very important), Sunscreen lotion, day sack, camera and binocular (OPTIONAL), water bottle, torch and batteries, though the water is very clean and pure and we do provide boiled water once you are in trek still in order to be extra careful you can get few chlorine pills as mountain water is supposed to be hard.
What we provide during the trek
Accommodation in two men tent (high altitude alpine tents of good quality), heavy foam pad mattresses, sleeping bags, Breakfast/tea, all meals (good quality food), services of experienced guide, cook, all the camping equipment, utensils and crockery, kitchen cum dining tent, toilet tent, oxygen cylinder and adequate medical kit.
Climate
Day temperature in the sun is pleasant but windy but nights are cold. The temp at night and in rain and snow (especially in Sep and Oct) can really go down; sometimes below zero so you have to be well prepared.
Travel insurance
That has to be done individually itself.

It is also possible that a route change may become necessary due to weather, inaccessibility through the mountain passes due to heavy snow, condition of the trail and physical fitness of the clients.
