Itinerary

Day 1:Rumsu to Steling (Trek) Over Night Camp.) 05 Hrs. 2500 Mts

Have breakfast and meet your guides for a 1and Half hour transfer to Rumsu via Naggar, the starting point of your trek. Rumsu Village, a traditional Pahari (mountain) village with wooden houses made in a traditional architectural style. Spend some time exploring the village before trekking further up toward Steling for 4-5 Hrs. where you will camp in the middle of an alpine meadow. Take in the beautiful views of the Dhauladhar Mountain Range to the west, Pir Panjal Range to the north-west and the Lahul Range to the north. Overnight in Steling Camp.

Day 2:Steling to Chanderkhani Base (Chaklani) 3300 Mts. 05 Hrs. (Trek) Over Night Camp.)

Wake up, have breakfast and make your way through coniferous forest and meadows carpeted with a variety of alpine flowers. You’ll see superb views of the valley and mountain ranges all around. Eventually you’ll arrive at the base camp of the Chanderkhani Pass after 4-5 Hrs. of gradual ascent where you will overnight. Place also known as Chaklani. Overnight in Camp.

Day 3:Chanderkhani Base (Chaklani) to Nagruni 3200 Mts. over the Chanderkhani Pass3541 Mts. 05 Hrs. (Trek) Over Night Camp.)

Wake up, have breakfast and start your trek to the top of the pass. It will take around two hours to reach the top of Chanderkhani Pass. Depending on the time of year, you may get to see the pass and surrounding meadows covered in snow (May to June). The pass is marked by prayer flags and stones. Once you have reached the pass, trek along a levelled trail towards Nagruni Thatch, a beautiful alpine meadow where you will camp for the night.

Day 4:Nagruni to Whachin Thach 2700 Mts. 04-05 Hrs. (Trek) Over Night Camp).

Wake up, have breakfast and start your trek to the camp of Whaching Thach. It will take around four hours to reach our next camp. Easy descent, up and down some time walking through the fields, crossing small streams on the way eventually we reach Whaching Thach. We can meet locals of Malana on this day; also can visit Dogris (temporary house/summer house) of Malanis (people from Malana) this day. Overnight in Camp Whachin Thach (camp).

Day 5:Whachin Thach to Malana 2652 Mts. (Trek) 03-04 hrs.

Wake up, have breakfast and start your trek to the village of Malana. Easy flat walking for long with some ups and downs along with the river Malana. Walking through the fields, bushes and forest for three four hours we arrive the historic village of Malana. Further drive to Manali (4 Hrs.)
Further drive to Manali 04 Hrs. Overnight hotel arranged by Team.

Things to know

What to bring for the trek
Good Warm internal clothing (woolen and fleece, thermals), water proof and wind proof clothing, Comfortable hiking boots with good resistance against the snow and water with a good grip, haversack,  sandals, walking sticks, gaiters, woolen/tennis socks (quite a few pairs) and stocking, gloves, cap, sunglasses (very important), Sunscreen lotion, day sack, camera and binocular (OPTIONAL),  water bottle, torch and batteries, though the water is very clean and pure and we do provide boiled water once you are in trek  still in order to be extra careful you can get few chlorine pills as mountain water is supposed to be hard.

What we provide during the trek
Accommodation in two men tent (high altitude alpine tents of good quality), heavy foam pad mattresses, sleeping bags, Breakfast/tea, all meals (good quality food), services of experienced guide, cook, all the camping equipment, utensils and crockery, kitchen cum dining tent, toilet tent, oxygen cylinder and adequate medical kit.

Climate
Day temperature in the sun is pleasant but windy but nights are cold. The temp at night and in rain and snow (especially in Sep and Oct) can really go down; sometimes below zero so you have to be well prepared.

Travel insurance
That has to be done individually itself.

Note
It is also possible that a route change may become necessary due to weather, inaccessibility through the mountain passes due to heavy snow, condition of the trail and physical fitness of the clients.
